Mainstreaming of DRR+CCA to the CLUP

The City Planning ad Development Office, in coordination with the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), will conduct a planning workshop on the Mainstreaming of DRR+CCA to the city's Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) on July 4-6, 2012 at Salvatori Hall, Ma. Cristina Hotel, Iligan City.

The flow of the workshop will be as follows :



Day 1 : July 4, 2012

  •  CLUP Updates and Status
  • Presentation of New Vision
  • Presentation of Hazard Profile
  • Enhancing Ecological Profile
  • Consequence and Risk Analysis
  • Integration of Sectoral Vulnerability Assessment & Risk Estimation (Workshop 1a and 1b)
  • Mainstreaming Sectoral Studies
  • Mainstreaming DRR+CCA in Sectoral Studies (Workshop 2)

Day 2 :  July 5, 2012
  •  Presentation of Workshop Output 1a, 1b and 2
  • Revalidation of Sub-Sectoral Issues and Concerns (Workshop 3)
  • Integration of Sub-Sectoral Issues and Concerns, Needs and Requirements into Major Sectors (Workshop 5)
  • Presentation of Workshop Output 3, 4 & 5
     
 Day 3 :  July 6, 2012
  •  Continuation of Presentation of Workshop Output 3, 4 & 5
  • Cross Integration of Issues (Workshop 6)
  • Validation of Goals and Objectives (Workshop 7)
  • Revisit/ Re-validate Development Thrust and Spatial Strategies (Workshop 8)
  • Next Steps/ Action Planning
     

The workshop will be participated by personnel from CPDO, City Social Welfare and Development Office, City Health Office, Department of Education/Commission on Higher Education/TESDA, City Engineer's Office, City Tourism Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Environment Management Office, NGO's and other national and local line agencies.

The expected output of the workshop are :

  • Enhanced Eco-Profile
  • DRA Report
  • Enhanced Land Use Issues and Measures
  • Policy Options relating to adaptation and mitigation
  • Enhanced Development Thrust and Strategies
